What Do You Mean By Relationship?
By Relationship we mean the association, connection, interaction and bond between two or more people, especially it refers to a romantic or sexual feeling.
In other words, relationship is a specific kind of connection that exists between people who are related to or deal with each other. For example, sibling relationships, martial relationships, relationships in love, relationships with neighbors, buyer-seller relationships etc.
Why Relationship Is So Important:
From birth we are bounded by relationships. It's deeply involved in our lives. Psychologists have long proven that relationships, whither good or bad, it affects our physical and mental health. Even it affects conditions like Cancer, heart disease, Depression and Addiction.
Below is a discussion of why it's so important to build relationships with others
- Promoting Mental Well-Being: The role of a positive relationship in maintaining good mental health is immense. A good relationship helps us to get peace of mind by relieving all kinds of worries and frustrations.
- Building Stability: Relationships are maintained in our lives by connecting with each other as well as helping and cooperative with each other.
- Learning how To Be A Good Friend Or Partner: By connecting with others we can learn how to be a good friend or partner.
- Coping With Challenges: When you have a good relationship with everyone, you can easily face the challenges of your life.
- Overcoming Loneliness: People can never be alone for long periods of time. Because long-term loneliness not only brings despair and depression in a person's life but also brings various kinds of ailments. So in the course of life, he has to be involved in different types of relationships, because through a good relationship, mental happiness and peace can be achived.
- To have someone To Turst Or To Trust Someone in time of need: Belief is the foundation of any relationship. You must trust someone before you can start a relationship. So that you can trust him in times of need.
Types Of Relationship:
We are social creatures, living in society, we get involved in different kinds of relationships with others in different ways at different times. The different aspects of the relationship are discussed below:
- Family Relationships: Family is made up of people who are related to each other by birth, marriage or adoption. Families are usually of two types, small family and large family. Small family consists of father, mother, son and daughter. On the other hand, large family consists of father, mother, son, daughter, brother, sister, grandfather, grandma, uncle, aunt, cousin.
- Friendships: Friendship is a strong bond of the soul. Friendships are formed between two people by building a strong bond of lasting affection, respect, intimacy and trust. Friendship is an important relationship throughout a person's life in any culture. Friendship doesn't matter age. Young or old, everyone can be friends. But friendship must have love with soul tension. Our parents are dearest to us. But a lot of times we can't tell our parents everything that is on our minds. But I can talk openly witht my friend about all the good and bad things without any hesitation. And that is the true Friendship.
- Acquaintanceship: An acquaintanceship is a type of relationship where two people know each other but no one knows each other well and there is no intimate relationship between them. For example, you may know all the students who study with you in school but you don't have intimate relationship with everyone. Such kind of face recognition relationship is called acquaintanceship.
- Romantic Relationships: Romantic relationship refers to interpersonal relationships where physical or mental intimacy is involved. In many cases, having sex between two people is considered as a Romantic relationship.
- Work Relationships: A work relationship is a kind of interpersonal relationship that exists between coworkers, Colleagues and managers in the work place. Such relationships are usually more formal than existing relationships outside of work.
- Teacher-Student Relationships: Student life is an important part of human life. At different stages of our lives we come in contact with many teachers. Teachers build positive relationships with their students, creating a learning environment in the classroom as well as continuing to make every effort to meet students' developmental, emotional and academic needs.
- Adolescents Relationship: Adolescents Relationship is a romantic relationship formed between young people. This kind of relationship develops a kind of confidence in them. Young people value support, trust and intimacy in romantic relationships.
- Community Or Group Relationships: Any type of group or community is made up of a few individuals and the interpersonal relationship that develops between them is called group or community relationship. Such groups are formed for a specific purpose or to serve a specific community head of service. And they work to achieve their goals.
- Toxic Relationships: A toxic relationship is a relationship that makes you feel unsupported, misunderstood, humiliated or attacked. Any relationship can become toxic over time. Fuller says, "Negative changes in your mental health, personality or self-esteem are also red flags. The red flags of the relationship include excessive jealousy and frequent lying."
- Complicated Relationships: When a partner doesn't understand whether they should be together or seperate, whether the relationship should be maintained or broken, such tension in the relationship is called complicated relationship.
- Situational Relationships (Situationalships): Situationalships are a kind of romantic relationships that occur indefinitely and unexpectedly in our lives and last for a short period of time. This kind of relationship is not always bad for us, sometimes it can be a good thing.
- Sexual Relationships: Sexual relationships refer to physical intimacy or sexual activity. Such a relationship involves feeling of love or affection for one or more people and this can lead to physical intimacy.
- Self-Confidence: A good and healthy relationship will increase your self confidence.
- Good Communication: In a healthy relationship, communication between the two parties is very good, that is, they understand each other very well.
- Mutual Respect: Healthy relationships are always respectful. They never do anything that makes their existing relationship seem trivial.
- Avoiding Violence: There is no violence in a healthy and normal relationship, there is only caring, love and affection.
- Realistic: When good relations are maintained between the two parties, their conduct and actions are realistic.
- Trust Each Other: The key to any relationship is turst. So the firm belief about which exists, never catches the cracks.
- Knowing Each Other Love Language: One of the characteristics of a healthy relationship is that one understands each other's expressions of love very well.
- Spending Time Together: Another important features of a good relationship is spending time together. Spouses that spend time together increase spiritual happiness and make the relationship strong.
- Teamwork: Understanding between partners in a positive relationship is very good. They discuss well with each other before doing any task. They always prefer to work together.
- Honesty: One of the kye features of a healthy relationship is honesty. No relationship is ever made with lies, and even if it's made that relationship doesn't last long.
- Healthy Sexual Relationship: Another characteristic of a good relationship is a healthy sexual relationship. Because if both prties are not satisfied with the sexual intercourse, then the relationship doesn't last long.
- Solving Problems Together: Those who have a good relationship solve any problem in their life through discussion together.
- Control: In such a relationship, one makes all the decisions and impose control over the other. Such as what to do, what to wear, who to mix with etc.
- Dependence: In an unhealthy relationship one becomes dependent on the orther, and threatens not to sever the relationship.
- Digital Monitoring: In such relationship, one person digitally monitors the other. For example, they use sites like Instagram and snap chat.
- Dishonesty: In an unhealthy relationship, one can easily lie to the other. Again many times many things are hidden.
- Disrespect: In such a relationship, one party doesn't want to give the importance to the other party, always disrespectf him.
- Hostility: In an unhealthy relationship, one looks at the other with jealousy and sometimes enmity.
- Harassment: In such relationship, one never feels safe, the other is the victim of harassment.
- Intimidation: In unhealthy relationship one tries to control the other by intimidation so as not to break the relationship or leave the family.
- Sexual Violence: In this case, one is forced to the other to have sex against one's will.
- Physical Violence: In unhealthy relationship, one often gets involved in physical conflicts with the other.
- Lack Of Support: In a bad relationship, one never support to other in any activities.
- Toxic Communication: In a weak relationship, communication between the two parties becomes very vague and unusual.
- Lack Of Caring: In such a relationship, one is indifferent to the other, one never wants to value the other.
- Avoiding the needs: In an unhealthy relationship, one doesn't want to give importance to the needs of the other.
- Unwillingness In Financial Behaviour: In such a relationship, one doesn't want to help the other financially, that is, he is reluctant to give more money in the hands of the partner.
- If you really love someone, you have to express love to him/her.
- You need to choose someone you can trust, love and whose mind will match to your mind.
- I believe that Relationship=Love+Commitment+Marriage. I think relationship should be made only with those who are willing to accept these three stages.
- Faith is the cornerstone of every relationship. So you must trust your partner.
- Never blame your partner without seeing it with your own eyes. There are many people who misunderstand their partner by listening to the words of others, it can never be done.
- Always learn to respect your partner because your relationship will not last long if your partner realizes that you are disrespecting him/her.
- Learn to appreciate your partner. As much as you can compliment her cooking, you can also admire her outfits. Girls will compliment her partner in the same way. It will boost your confidence and make your relationship stronger.

- Don't make any decision alone, and don't accomplish any task alone. There should always be a very good mutual understanding between yourselves.
- Never lie to your partner, never hide anything from him/her, never cheat on him/her. Because no relationship can ever be strengthened by lies.
- Problems can arise about in any relationship. Therefore, these problems can't be made public, they can't be posted on any social media. It has to be resolved through mutual decision among yourselves.
- Always try to pray together, through which you can achieve real happiness.
- Embrace your partner at least once every day, it will increase his/her love, sincerity, respect for you many times more.
- Tell your partner at least once a day, "I love you and will love you forever".
- Kiss your partner at least once a day because kiss is one of the main tools to express love. And with that you can keep your partner with you for life.
- Say good morning to your partner with a sweet smile every morning and hug him/her if possible.
- Ask at least once a day "Do you have a good body"? This will increase his/her love for you many times over.
- Give importance to your partner's like and dislikes, try not to do what he dislikes.
- Take your partner's opinions seriously. Don't make any decisions on your own, but make decisions in consultation with your partner.
- When you are in the office, try to communicate with your partner at least two or three times. For example, you can call him/her, give him/her a text message.
- Always make it a habit to eat together and occasionally try to feed your partner with your own hands. This will make your bond stronger.

- Remember special occasions, such as birthday, wedding anniversary and if possible give a gift to your partner as small as you can afford. For example, if you have a girlfriend or wife, you can give a gift flowers of her choice or a ring or a beautiful dress or a necklace and in case of husband or boyfriend, you can give a hand watch or a nice t-shirt or a perfume as a gift.

- Never looked down on your partner because suspicion is so bad that it can ruin your relationship. Put your trust and confidence in your partner.
- Go on vacations, spending time together, and it will increase your peace of mind.

- If your partner become upset take it seriously, try to find out the reason for his/her unhappiness and try to solve it.

- Relationship often becomes monotonous after childbirth. You have to try to overcome it.
